Though Tom Brady, during the playoffs, did not say it in exactly these words, he did allude to it—saying something like, “if the Eagles had a downfield passing game, they would be unstoppable.” Well, for one day—February 10, 2025—the Eagles had a downfield passing game, and they were unstoppable. In Super Bowl LIX, they stunned the Kansas City Chiefs with a 40–22 victory, dominating the game with a 24–0 halftime lead, and Jalen Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP after completing 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

The big question for me is, will Jalen Hurts be able to replicate that performance with regularity? Neither you, the reader, nor anyone else knows the answer to that question, given our long history with the quarterback. If he can, I will be thrilled; if not, we will be back to the grind, the weekly escapes, and the struggle.
