Eagles Making Mistakes in FA

As I see it, the Eagles made two huge mistakes in letting go of CJ Gardner-Johnson and TJ Edwards. They are two of the three playmakers on the Eagles defense, and you can't have too many of those.

Gardner-Johnson is sudden to the ball, stopping the ball carrier for a loss or no gain emphatically. His interceptions speak for themselves on a team where the "big play" guy gets few.

Edwards is one of the few guys on that horrible Jonathan Gannon defense that you could count on to make a play. In the Super Bowl, it seemed to me he was the only guy who got to Mahomes. At least twice, and if he had pulled on the "great one's" ankle a little harder, who knows? Edwards' progression as an Eagle has been amazing, equal to that of Hurts.

Again, how do you let two guys like this go?
