Eagles on the Brink: Leadership Tensions Could Spell Trouble

As usual, Phillies sports writers, coaches, and the front office are in denial. The Eagles may have a winning record, but I think they’re ready to implode. I heard about Jalen Hurts claiming he’s the new “CEO” of the Eagles, which could spell trouble.
If Hurts is indeed taking on a CEO-like role, it puts him above Nick Sirianni in decision-making. While this may be a relief to some, it’s bound to create anxiety within the team, as that’s not how the NFL typically operates. A coach should command respect, but here, it seems he doesn’t.
This tension likely impacts both the offensive and defensive coordinators, who may feel undermined by Hurts directing plays or making calls without full knowledge of what’s needed. Though the Eagles have talent, this misalignment and undercurrent of tension could affect their performance. Hurts would need to be Superman every game to overcome these dynamics—and this isn’t 2022.
