“Hurts So Good”

I want Jalen Hurts to succeed, but I am not buying in to the hype yet. He had a great game on Sunday, but no greater than what most quarterbacks have here and there.

He was playing against a woeful defense. Often there were no defenders within five or 10 yards of the receivers.

When good teams with good quarterbacks played the Eagles last year, the Eagles defense was so bad. The defense struggled so much, such as verses the Vikings, that the opposing quarterback routinely threw for 80 or 85% completion percentages.

Let’s see how he does in the next few weeks, particularly against a decent defenses like Arizona, and a good defense in Dallas before we anoint him as the franchise quarterback.
