As I mentioned in a post during the playoffs last year, I felt that the 76ers lacked leadership. Joel Embiid, as good as he can be, is not a leader. He’s too much of a clown and injured too often.

Finally, the 76ers have a leader: Kyle Lowry.

Many times as an All-Star and an NBA champion, he has played against the 76ers forever, a Philly native. Someone that many on the Sixers already admire, he's a natural fit.

I felt they should have gone for CP3 when he was available, and now Lowry does not have quite the star power, but he just may fit this group better than Chris Paul would have.

This is all from my perspective as a sports psychiatrist and what it takes for a team to be truly cohesive.
