Ja Morant Needs Time

Ja Morant has been in the media for the wrong reasons off the court. He allegedly, threatened a mall security guard, and punched a 17-year-old last July. Now flashing a gun on Instagram.

There is more to the story than Ja Morant being an immature 23-year-old. I am a sports psychiatrist, and though I have never examined him, this pattern shows a loss of impulse control that concerns me.

Ja Morant may have deep problems and needs to seek professional help…forget just two games. He needs as long as it takes to get his mental health in good shape.

Update: Since this writing, the team has pivoted from saying it would be two games, to saying there is no timetable for return, just as I believed they should have.
