In my opinion, Nick Sirianni did not fire Brian Johnson because he would look horrible. Yet, both of Sirianni’s coaching picks seem inadequate for the job. What does that imply about him? And, consequently, what does it say about Howie Roseman and ownership for hiring Sirianni in the first place?
A respected and innovative offensive coordinator needs to be swiftly brought in. Someone whom the players respect, whose strategies will be effective.
From an outsider’s perspective, it’s evident to me that the players lack confidence in the coaches’ ability to implement effective strategies. This lack of trust manifests in their careless penalties and in Hurts’ increased tentativeness and hesitancy.
