Why Do I Have To Be From Philadelphia: Kimbrel Is Not The Answer

I fell asleep last night with the Phillies leading 4-2. When I checked the final score this morning, I was left puzzled. I'm not sure if Michael Lorenzen is injured, but I can't fathom why he wasn't part of the rotation last night. Dombrowski shares some of the blame for not having a reliable bullpen, particularly his choice of Kimbrel, which left us without a bona fide closer at the deadline. We also never managed to acquire a right-handed-hitting left fielder who could truly make a difference. Thompson might have pushed Lorenzen too far with that 124-pitch no-hitter. The Phillies might not make it; they lack a reliable bullpen and a closer, as I've emphasized many times.
